Bryant’s Red Ribbon Week October 31, 2005 – November 4, 2005 Red Ribbon Week is an awareness campaign observed annually as the kick off to a year of prevention of illegal drugs or legal drugs used illegally in our schools and communities. Attached please find an Anti Drug pledge sheet for your student. Please take a few minutes to go over this pledge with your student to be drug free. Encourage them to take the pledge sheet and share with the adults in their lives the pledge they have made to be drug free. At Bryant we will have many fun-themed activities to help raise the students anti drug awareness. They will be given a red bracelet to wear for the week. Monday “Drugs Turn You Inside Out” – students are invited to wear their clothes turned inside out. Tuesday “Drugs Give You the Blues” – students are invited to wear blue clothes. Wednesday “Follow Your Dreams, Don’t Do Drugs” –
Students are invited to wear pajamas. Thursday “Sock it to Drugs” – Students are invited to wear mismatched or crazy socks Friday “Wear Red Day” – The students are
asked to wear read, they will be We hope you will encourage your student to participate in the theme day activities. Please use these opportunities to visit with your child about this important topic. Red Ribbon Week mission statement: To create an awareness campaign that supports ongoing alcohol, tobacco, illegal drug and violence prevention efforts.
